PA Institute of Physiotherapy is one of the units of PA Educational Trust, established in 1999. PA Institute of Physiotherapy has been approved by the Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The late Dr. P.A. Ibrahim, founder and chairman of PACE Group, was well known for his contributions to education and philanthropy. His motivating goal was to create a premier physiotherapy institute that would be open to people from all backgrounds.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T)

Duration : 4 Years 6 Months
Total Intake : 40

Eligibility

Pass in two year Pre - University / 10+2 examination conducted by recognized University/Board, with English as one of the languages and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.
Pass individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in the qualifying examination with 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/OBC Karnataka Students) in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Completed 17 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Clinical Training - Internship

Every candidate should undergo six months (26 weeks) of Internship after the final year examinations. Internship should be done in a teaching hospital recognised by the University limited to within Karnataka only.

The Internship should be rotatory and cover clinical branches concerned with Physiotherapy such as Orthopedics, Cardiothoracic including ICU, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pediatrics, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology - both inpatient and outpatient services.

No candidate shall be awarded degree certificate without successfully completing six months of Internship.

The 6 months of rotational posting must be covered in the following pattern.

Physiotherapy OPD (Including Paediatrics and OBG wards) 1 Month
Orthopaedic wards 1 Month
General Medicine wards (Including MICU and CCU) 1 Month
General Surgery wards (Including CST wards, CTS-ICU and Burns) 1 Month
Neurology and Neurosurgery wards (Including Neuro ICU) 1 Month
Community Posting – PHC 1 Month
